The Centre for Public Education and Mobilization for Development in Nigeria (CEPAD- NIGERIA) is an independent, non-governmental, non-profit, non-partisan organization with focus on information sharing, educating citizens on development issues and building their capacity to effectively contribute to human and community development. CEPAD- NIGERIA was duly registered on the 5th of April, 2005 under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 1990 of Nigeria.
What We Do
CEPAD-NIGERIA works with a range of groups and institutions that are either governmental, non-governmental or community based to achieve its goal. CEPAD- NIGERIA’s work is directed at educating and mobilizing Nigerians towards contributing and participating positively in the development of their communities and Nigeria in general.
We do this by providing citizens with opportunities, support and guidance for the achievement of development goals. Our strategy begins with raising citizen awareness about development either of self or community and how they can play positive roles in addressing the development challenges that confront them and their communities. We provide citizens and groups with knowledge, skills and credible information on processes, procedures and strategies for effective engagement of persons, structures and institutions that are necessary for the achievement of their development goals. CEPAD-NIGERIA builds on current knowledge and research, develops relationships with key players in development, and helps catalyze, design, and implement sustainable development programmes to fill identified gaps and improve the well-being and livelihood of Nigerians within its areas of focus.
Our Vision
To be a forward looking organization that identifies effective strategies and options for development and provides citizens with the information, knowledge and skills that will engender development and enhanced livelihood and wellbeing for them.
